It's been over a month since the new ads were put in place, in our galleries. It made me uncomfortable at the beginning- the positioning of the ads gave the impression that I endorsed whatever product was being advertised. I do not endorse any company which advertises with Deviantart, and, in all honesty, it is completely unethical for deviantart to give the impression that I do.

It has been over a month since the ads were put in place. the reaction against them from within the community was immediate; and yet, in the weeks since the new advertising policy came into effect, there's been no official word from the staff addressing the issue at all- despite hundreds of posts raising the issue in the advertising concerns forum, a petition, and notes and e-mails to the staff from myself and others.

Clearly, Deviantart does not respect, or even wish to acknowledge, those who provide content for them. As such, I have removed my artwork from the site. I'll be clearing out my favorites and my stock account over the next few days.
